LIBR 246-13 Building the Social Library Online

This week's exercise will give you experience creating a podcast.

1. Create a 3-5 minute podcast on any topic that would be of interest to a librarian or a library patron (make sure to choose a specific patron group). The topic is totally your choice. You can use Audacity and the LAME Encoder, Apple Garage Band, or any other tool that will allow you to record audio and create an MP3 file.

2. Once you have an MP3 file, upload it to our blip.tv account (see assignment questions forum for instructions). Be sure to identify yourself as the creator of your podcast.

3. Subscribe to the RSS feed in your aggregator and your classmates' podcasts will be delivered to you. Otherwise, you can visit the page to listen to your classmates' podcasts.
