Exercise 3: Due Feb 26
You have a choice of exercises to complete this week. The first will give you experience using personal homepages in a library setting. The second will give you experience creating a mashup.
1. Create a mockup for a library start page or library subject guide using Pageflakes. Put in elements that you think should be found in a library start page or subject guide (or at least a non-working mockup of them). You can also pull in real elements from various libraries (blogs, del.icio.us feeds, etc.) to make it look authentic.

2. Create a mashup or alert using Yahoo! Pipes. It doesn't matter what you create so long as it does something and it works properly (you must have at least two modules connected together to get credit). You will need to get a Yahoo! account to use Yahoo! Pipes (if you already have one, you can just use that). Be sure to watch the introductory videos before you jump into it as it is a bit complicated. It's also helpful to look at already created Pipes before you get started.
On the class wiki, you will see a page called Exercise 3. On that page, please enter your name with a link to your project (be sure it is set so that others can view it).
