GE's Social Software

This blog post discusses the Imagination Cubed software by GE.  It seems to be a very easy to use way multiple users can collaborate and share ideas.  From the posts it is easy enough for a child to use.  If the ease of use is as they say, it might catch on!

I tried it and it looks kind

I tried it and it looks kind of cool. Sort of like a virtual whiteboard, that people can use.

I could see this really taking shape in online education. I mean chalkboards are fading away. Maybe the next level is the next level for teachers writing down things and pupils who can take notes. The advantage is that students can focus on the messages rather than trying to capture down every details the teacher says...

This is so unique! Students

This is so unique! Students can use this to express themselves and use their creativity.

Very neat application Matt!

Very neat application Matt!  I gave it a try and had a little fun with it.  I see how it would be really easy to share graphic information but I was unsure how collaborators would communicate.  Maybe a small chat window and an indication of who is currently drawing, sort of like Elluminate, would help?  I also agreed with the poster that pointed out an eraser feature would be beneficial.
